Nob Hill Cafe

I'd have to start with the service. Our waitress was absolutely amazing to us. Friendly, professional, kind, fast. Food was good too. We came without a reservation so we waited for a table for a good 40 minutes. Don't do the same mistake we did. Bonapatite!

Went for brunch with my wife. Got there right at 11 and sat in the window. Great people watching. Our waiter Carlos was very polite and was engaging. He asked where we were from and what we planned on doing in the city. After he found out it was my birthday, he brought me a very delicious dessert before we left. Great service! I will be back.

Quaint, authentic, Italian cafe. Loved the atmosphere & friendly staff. The food was fabulous, loved the prawns w/ prosciutto!

Loved this place! We had a one hour wait but were able to sip wine & sit outside & chat. The service staff was wonderful & fun. And, oh the food...I had melt in your mouth eggplant with penne pasta and a flavorful red sauce. The side salad greens were fresh and crisp. My colleague had Salmon in a Bag that was fall-apart tender. No feeling of being rushed in spite of the clear waiting line. Absolutely one of the finest experiences in my San Francisco visit. Put Nob Hill on your itinerary!

Visiting from Sydney, Australia. This is the best Italian cuisine I have ever had the pleasure of eating 🇮🇹 We heard amazing things about Nob Hill Cafe so we waited patiently for a table whilst sipping on a cheeky (and delicious) Merlot. We were so excited when we were seated (and slightly hungry) so we may have over ordered... We started with a few appetizers, then moved onto pasta and finished on pizza! Everything on the menu looked incredible, it was so difficult to decide. Each bite was absolutely mouth watering.The service was impeccable and the pricing was spot on (great value). We cannot wait to visit again next time we are in San Francisco.

Incredible Italian! We were referred over and very glad we listened. Atmoshere was incredible and the food will bring you back over and over. The lasagna was one of the best I've ever eaten.

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. We arrived pretty late and even offered to just get our food to go. They encouraged us to stay and eat. Food was very good. Pizza was great.

This was very tasty. Really excellent food. Great staff and service. Perhaps a long wait often bc they are so crowded and popular. Why not. Just so yummy. Suggest heading across the street to checkout the beautiful cathedral and views from there while wait for your table. Or have a glass of wine while you wait outside. Good wine as well. I had the special, did not regret a thing. Very good.

We arrived at the restaurant at a little after 5.00pm and missed the first sitting by minutes. We were told that a table would be available in 35 minutes but unfortunately we had an hour and a half wait for a table. The food was excellent and the staff were great.

Excellent Meal worth waiting for 1/2 hour with a beer for me and a glass of wine for my lady.The service is also excellent.Loved the ambiance and welcoming feeling of the Cafe.My only advice to get there take Lyft, a cab or walk. There is really no parking in that part of the city, Besides that the walk os beautiful.

Tip: Don’t go with a party bigger than 4, or you’ll probably have the longest wait. Best to go with a party of 2 to be seated the fastest, the restaurant is really small and packed.The wait was worth it since the pasta tasted great and I finished the whole plate. I almost didn't want to give my boyfriend a bite of my food. Out of all the pastas the carbonara is definitely the most creamy so keep that in mind. It also isn’t served with peas :(

Great local place for Italian lunch/dinner. Friendly staff and crisp white linens. They have in- and outdoor seating so you can take in the best of what Nob Hill - San Fran has to offer on a warm sunny day.The kitchen design is open layout so if you're sitting inside you're surrounded by the delicious aromas.Ask the waiter for some favourite dish recommendations, sit back and enjoy!

Food was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. The wait was pretty long and it's pretty cramped. But definitely worth a visit.

BEST lasagna I've ever had! Good atmosphere. Great service! The restaurant smells amazing. My entire family loved their dishes! This is definitely a place you have to try!

Excellence food. Worth the wait. Noticed alot of "to-go" orders. Seems the locals have figured out the best way to eat there. (Takeout)

Wonderful place with some great options to choose from. Friendly staff and delicious food. Restaurant is very small so you may have to wait a while to be seated.

Very enjoyable meal in a quaint location. We were seated in the front (less desirable) room and it was super cold every time patrons came in or out. Perhaps a heavy curtain to block the wind would help. They don't take reservations so you either have to wait for a seat out of the arctic zone or suffer. The food was worth it.
